Low Income Subsidy "LIS" - Extra Help

You may qualify for Extra Help with Prescription drugs.

Many Medicare members live on fixed incomes and don't realize they may qualify for assistance to help pay for their Part D premiums and prescription costs.

You may be able to get extra help to pay for the monthly premiums, annual deductibles, and co-payments related to the Medicare Prescription Drug program. However, you must be enrolled in a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan to get this extra help.

  • Individuals may qualify if their Monthly Income is Less than $1,595 and their Total Assets are less than $14,610.
  • Married Couples may qualify if their Monthly Income is Less than $2,155 and their Total Assets are less than $29,160.
